Design and write code for Web-based software systems. Collaborate with team in the whole development process including specification, testing, and maintenance. Solve challenging technical problems. Mentor junior programmers (optional).

• Skillful in software design. Knowledge in design patterns is preferred but not required.
• Enjoy programming and problem solving.
• Be able to follow and help establish good software engineering practices.
• Extensive experience with one or more Object-Oriented programming languages: Java, C#, C++, Python, Ruby, etc.
• Interested in Web-based software development.
• Good communication skills.
• Experienced in the software industry.
• Experience and/or strong interests in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and/or Natural Language Processing (NLP) would be an advantage (though not required).
• Knowledge and/or experience of languages in alternative programming paradigms/languages (e.g. Lisp, Scheme, Haskell, ML, Mathematica, Prolog) would be a plus (though not required).
